The Importance of Having Removable Bollards

In places like Australia, removable bollards are quite common. This is because the country itself is surrounded by water and removable bollards act as barriers for cars and people so that nothing accidentally goes over. These posts are meant to draw attention, so the usual colors are either bright yellows or black with yellow stripes.

Removable bollards don’t always have to be placed near water to warn people. They can also be placed in areas that contain valuables or danger to warn people to keep their distance. What is especially nice about removable bollards is that they are movable! This saves the state or country money as bollards are not made with cheap materials.

Most bollards are made with iron or steel; however, there are some that exist that are primarily made out of strong wood. Iron and steel are materials that are able to withstand extreme weather conditions and because of their extreme weight, even the sneakiest criminal couldn’t get one of these out of the ground for scraping.

Besides Australia, removable bollards can be found in the United States, the UK and really any other country for that matter since they are versatile. They can be used as barriers and excellent warning signs and if the time comes to have them removed, it is an easy process.
